I’m running for Townsend City Commissioner after a lifetime of service as a police officer and community member. My career has taught me that strong communities are built on trust, safety, and truly listening to the people we serve.

I love Townsend for its natural beauty, its small-town character, and the neighbors who look out for one another. As growth comes, we must manage it responsibly to protect what makes our town so special to our residents and not special interest groups.

I’m running to help keep Townsend peaceful, support responsible development, and ensure transparent leadership that always puts residents first.

What I Will Do as Your City Commissioner?

As City Commissioner, I will focus on the issues that matter most to the people of Townsend. Our community parks should be places families can enjoy, not sit in disrepair or be used as dumping grounds that create safety risks for nearby neighborhoods and our elementary school. I will work to restore and maintain these spaces so they once again serve our community. At the same time, we must address irresponsible growth that threatens our green spaces and natural beauty. Townsend is known as the “Peaceful Side of the Smokies,” and I am committed to preserving that identity and our small-town charm by ensuring development reflects the values of our residents—not outside interests. I will support transparent, accountable local government that listens to the people, addresses concerns, and makes decisions with the community’s best interests at heart.

Special People's park have been left in disrepair for quite some time. The condition of our infrastructure shows what happens when leadership fails to prioritize maintenance and long-term planning.

Breaking down park trees just to dump debris between the pond and our school isn’t maintenance—it’s neglect. This kind of damage doesn’t happen by accident—it happens when leadership looks the other way.

The community park barn roof that has been left to rot and in disrepair. In Townsend, it’s clear we need stronger leadership to ensure infrastructure is maintained and improved—not neglected.

When our own town allows illegal dumping in a park next to an elementary school, it’s not just neglect—it’s a failure of leadership.
